The Mario universe is expanding with the upcoming launch of Mario vs. Donkey Kong next year. Nintendo first announced the game back in September Nintendo Direct and revealed that the game will be coming out on 16th February 2024.
What’s New?
The game is a remake of the Game Boy Advance version where the plot is to recover Mario’s stolen toys. Unlike the previous version, the developers have focused on modern art style; replacing the pre-rendered and cartoony appearance we saw in the Game Boy version.
Nintendo has also added local co-op support which makes it possible to bring in a friend to help you recover the stolen toys. You will also face Donkey Kong plenty of times in the game.
If you have played the classic version, you will know that the game features plenty of puzzles. The developers will also focus on adding the same puzzle-solving element to this version.
As per the launch trailer, we can also see that Nintendo has drastically improved the overall aesthetics, gameplay, and action.
Before the launch of this game, Nintendo dropped Super Mario RPG on 17th November which gathered plenty of positive reviews.
